Paris Bistro in Salt Lake City

Very cute place. Not sure about my crepes though. Why was the whipped cream not sweet and what was that strange taste?

One of Salt Lake's oldest and most established restaurants, it maintains the classic American take on the French Bistro with gorgeous dark wood interior and fabulous menu. One of the few truly family-owned operations in town, the recipes are the owner's personal creations, the product is ALL locally sourced, the wine cellar is spectacular, and the service is provided by the owner and his family. They have a lovely patio, and one of the only truly private rooms available in town; fully capable for private functions, including weddings and business dinners requiring audio/visual set up ir video presentations.

We went during a very busy time so the service was a little off but I thought the food was delicious! I will return!

The food was very good. I always love eating here. However the service was very bizarre. I won't call out the server by name. But they were cursing at times. Making very inappropriate jokes. The busser apologized for their behavior but said that they are one of the best servers. I agree that I his serving skills were great although the kitchen took forever tonight. But you have to judge your audience. We wanted a classy night out with our friends and the Paris is a little out of our league so we rarely go. When we go we like to feel fancy, spend a little extra money and have a really classy time but we were robbed of that experience tonight. Again I was okay with the server but I felt uncomfortable to even ask for a group photo or to question anything. Felt like we were held hostage and maybe an inconvenience at times? Yet praised at other times. If you get this server you'll know right away

Everything about thos place is good! The food is amazing and the aervice is good, but of they tried a little less harder to be fake friendly and be genuine instead it would of been six stars.

Classy European restaurant. Excellent lunch and seasonal menus pair with a strong bar selection. Known as the restaurant with best sweet breads in town.

The atmosphere there was really nice. The steak I ordered however was extremely tough and chewy. Very disappointed.

Chosen best French Restaurant once. It is tough a bit overrated. Food and atmosphere is not bad, but also not extraordinary, and prices are too high.

This os an excellent restaurant. Everything tastes very well made. A solid locale for a date!

Eating here truly reminded me of eating in Paris. The food was all excellent and the service was helpful and kind. I always appreciate a restaurant that uses premium ingredients in their dishes and right down to the home grown tomatoes in my salad, this was the case. We will definitely be back.

This bistro was wonderful. The place has an awesome French feel with great food and staff. Claudio is an awesome waiter. His food recommendations were spot on. We had the duck and the fillet. The buffalo cheese mozzarella caprice was the best I’ve had. If you’re looking for great food and a great experience, Paris Bistro is the place to go.

The food is well prepared and portion sizes are reasonable. The staff is clean and polite and our server Flo was very attentive. I doubt I will return to this establishment over the billing fiasco that we encountered at the end of the meal. Apparently if you do not declare before you order anything how you would like the bills paid you will get a single bill that you cannot split and you are required to pay with one card. So our large group got out our phones and built a spreadsheet to divide out the bill to each respective party and as apologetic as the manager was the whole "paying" process took us about a half hour to flesh out. If you are looking for fine dining and a cosy atmosphere and your party is small or you intend to pay for the whole table of guests this will not be a problem for you. But if you are averaging 120 bucks a couple and you get this sort of harassment it's not worth the trouble just find some other establishment to dine at.

What a cozy little place in the food was amazing and my dessert yum yum it's a great place to celebrate all occasions

Stopped by the Paris to purchase a $100.00 gift card. Could not purchase one. Would have happily just taken some sort of receipt and put it in a card for my niece and her husband, but was told they had absolutely no way to help me. Guess I don’t know if it’s good or not since I won’t be going there. For those of you who do, I hope their food is better than their customer appreciation.

The food was good(nothing really special), but overpriced! The service was decent for the most part. The food took a while to come out. it was pretty dim in the reasturant, it was actually hard to see the menu. It was very clean though, and it seemed to be a popular spot. I would give it a second go around.

We had reservations that they literally called me to confirm that morning and yet when we arrived were told there would be no tables open for 35 minutes to an hour after our reserved time 😂. So, we sat at the bar. Which was kind of cramped and sad. Especially on New Year's Eve. When I'd meticulously chosen a specific restaurant for a romantic date to whet our appetites in anticipation of our upcoming trip to Paris. On top of that, and this is where it gets weird, they were "sold out" of both of our initial entree choices as well as my second choice. Really? Do you have so little food on hand that you can literally sell out of three random entrees out of a sample size of 5? Wine was decent, most of the food we ordered was actually really great, and the bartendery waiter guy was helpful and friendly. But yikes, what an overall fail on New Year's Eve 😶.

Power dinners and romantic interludes are both elevated here. Terrific chef, caring staff and an owner who is ever present and attentive to the highest service levels, regardless of the occasion. Finest private function dining venue in Utah.

This is probably our favorite restaurant in Salt Lake, or at least top 5. We’ve never had a bad meal. You have to get the fillet, it’s fantastic. The service and ambiance can’t be beat compared to other places in the city. 👏🏻

We went close to Christmas and sadly they were out of many items on the menu and then promptly ran out of most of the deserts as well. The quality of food and service matches the price.

Make sure you have reservations. Nice, intimate setting. For couples and large parties. Wish they would change the main menu more often and not run out of what the special is for the evening. Waiters need to smile more. That's why they only got 4🌟's.

Always love the Paris, the food is consistently wonderful, the service is attentive, and Eric has somehow managed to keep the neighborhood feel alive. If you want a special night out, you can't go wrong.

High end eating establishment, reservations would be highly suggested. Great wait staff and they have an extensive and diverse menu. Food came out in a timely manner, just as a caution if you order the steak tartare it will add an hour extra to your visit. But nice conversation and a bottle of wine or some cocktails would be a good remedy. It is and can be a little on the high side for the noise factor when eating, but otherwise an enjoyable experience

The place was amazing. Food was great and really felt and tasted like you are in France :) I enjoyed my dinner a lot and looking forward to come again with my wife.

This was a really cute place!! Food was wonderful and they had a great variety so everyone can find something they will love!! I loved the French onion soup and the decor was minimal but cute!! Service was great!! Our waiter was great at offering suggestions and always kept our water full. Prices were fair and well worth it!!

The food was fantastic, each dish had multiple delicious flavors. The atmosphere was upscale and romantic. Staff was nothing but helpful.

The staff is rude, very poor customer service and they discriminate. Overpriced food does not taste good. I found out the owner of sea salt restaurant Eric Debonis is the owner of this restaurant as well. Don’t go here you will be wasting your time.

Great 100 year old building. Decorated like an old fashioned cafe complete with French music. We had probably the best server I've ever had and all the servers are dressed to the nines. The stroganoff was delicious. The plates are pretty large. A great experience!

Incredible French food, top quality. I adore their duck breast, lamb chops and French onion soup . I love the ambiance and the staff is quite friendly

A holiday tradition for us when we visit SLC. Worth the trip if you want a cozy and warm dinner spot with great food and attentive staff.

We had reservations tonight at the owners sister restaurant Sea Salt. We pulled up along with several other couples looking forward to enjoying Valentines dinner out. Found a dark and close restaurant with no notice and no options at 7pm. We have eaten at Paris several times & will NEVER eat there again. We will also tell everyone we know not too. Shame on the owners! Bad business

We were there last night and had a wonderful dining experience and great service. Will definitely be back in the near future.

I have loved the Paris for over 10 years and have gone often. I have however, had a number of bad experiences lately with the Servers - including one time when champagne was spilled all over my guest's head without an apology. Last night I was treated very poorly by the staff - very rude bar-tender who walked away from me and dismissive front desk. The waiter, whom I wanted to like, was overworked and complained to us about how bad it was to work there using all sorts of expletives and embarrassing my guests with his bad language. Overall service was slow and the food came out cold. All in All a bad experience for decent but not exceptional food. After last night, I don't think I will ever return and I will not ever recommend the restaurant again.

Loved Flo. She was very delightful. If you love fine French cuisine, this is the place. If you don’t mind toilets that don’t flush or locking bathrooms, this is the place. Bring your own ketchup, for they have none. Just ask Flo what the chef is serving and don’t bother reading the menu. Diet Coke comes in its own original packaging. But the atmosphere and entertainment is of great value. Flexibility is the key to a great experience at this restaurant.

The restaurant was very good, the atmosphere was reminded me of a French cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. The food was all French style and was full of flavor and tasted fresh. The menu had a good variety of food and there where some seasonal specials. The prices where reasonable, ranging from $20 to $30 for most dishes. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable on the menu offering many tasty suggestions. They offer steak, lamb, duck, and fish as a selection for meats.

Amazing service, especially for Salt Lake. Food and wine list was great too. 4 stars because they took the fois gras off the menu and I came specially for it. Bring it back!!

Our meal was good, although when I ordered the soup of the day as my dinner, it arrived in a very small sized cup, 2/3 full.Sadly, the waitstaff was the reason we left a very poor tip. He spent most of his time regailing long, loud stories with the table next to ours and we had to keep reminding him about our previous beverage orders, or we waited FOREVER for him to take our order, clear our plates, bring us the bill, etc.If we do come again and we find out he’s our waiter, the Paris Bistro will be history for us. Our friends had an identical experience when they dined there a few weeks ago.

One of my favorites for a nice fancy dinner. They have a great cocktail menu and the wine list is great. The food is excellent and during the non-winter months the outside patio is wonderful.

The worst dining experience ever. We saw the bad reviews and figured it couldn't be that bad. Unfortunately it was worse than the reviews. They were out of 75% of the menu, we ordered 5 different wines, all out. Our appetizers never came, our server dropped the f bomb left and right. The so called manager, hid in the back most of the night and let her poor service staff take the fall for the complete circus that was happening around her. Whatever you do, don't go here.

Hands down the best French Cuisine in Utah, and possibly the entire mountain west. Of all the top end restaurants I have visited in Utah, this place is #1. With that said, the cuisine may not appeal to everyone. Not for the steak and potatoes aficionado. This place compares well to many of the wonderful eateries I have had the good fortune to visit in France, and other French cuisine restaurants in major cities in the US and abroad. The wine selection is a dream come true. Not really family oriented, but they did whip up something special for my 11 year old who was not interested in escargot or steak tartare. Come with a fat wallet and leave with a skinny one.

it was so horrable the service could of been better i herd this place was nice but i guesa not as nice as everyone says i saw the owner treat his cooks very badly i think he might be on something he is just so disrespectful to everybody i wouldn't recommend it
